  • Bug fixes and improved safety warnings.
v1.1.65
build 211July 30, 20265.2 MB
  • Bug fixes and improved safety warnings.
v1.1.64
build 210July 29, 20265.2 MB
  • Bug fixes and improved safety warnings.
v1.1.62
build 208July 27, 20265.2 MB
  • Fixes and small improvements.
v1.1.61
build 207July 27, 20265.2 MB
  • Clearer panels in the Closed-Lid window, so each section is easier to read at a glance.
  • Better diagnostics when a Mac runs hot with the lid closed, so heat issues are quicker to understand and fix.
v1.1.60
build 206July 27, 20265.2 MB
  • Fixes "Install and Relaunch" appearing to do nothing. LidRun waits for a safe moment before installing updates by itself, but it was also waiting when you asked for the update — so the button sat there while a background job kept it blocked. Asking for an update now installs it right away.
  • Update failures are also recorded now, so a download error can actually be diagnosed instead of guessed at.
v1.1.59
build 205July 26, 20265.2 MB
  • Turning the fans off now sticks. A Smart Rule like "Claude Code → AI cooling" used to switch cooling back to Automatic every few minutes, so a fan mode you picked because it was too loud kept coming back.
  • Rules now only turn cooling on when you haven't chosen a mode yourself. The one exception is the safety rule above 90°C, which still maxes the fans no matter what.
v1.1.58
build 204July 26, 20265.2 MB
  • Fixes a Mac being put to sleep, and shown as overheating, while it was actually cool. On Intel Macs the CPU speed limit also drops when the power adapter can't keep up with a heavy build — LidRun read that as overheating and ended Closed-Lid sessions at 62°C.
  • Capped clocks now only count as heat when the Mac is genuinely warm. The exact CPU limit is still shown, it just no longer reads as danger.
v1.1.57
build 203July 26, 20265.2 MB
  • System Health now also catches a single runaway process, not just a group of them — the kind that quietly holds one CPU core for hours and makes your Mac throttle.
  • It tells them apart from real work by how a process has behaved its whole life, so a busy AI job is never mistaken for one.
v1.1.56
build 202July 26, 20265.2 MB
  • Closed-Lid now comes back on by itself after an update installs, so a lid-shut Mac never quietly starts sleeping again mid-job.
  • You can also turn automatic installs off in Settings if you'd rather update by hand.
v1.1.55
build 201July 25, 20265.2 MB
  • System Health now spots leftover runaway processes — ones whose parent is gone but that keep burning CPU — and lets you end them in one click.
  • LidRun also keeps itself up to date on its own now. It never installs while Closed-Lid or a job is running; it waits until your session ends.
v1.1.54
build 200July 24, 20265.1 MB
  • System Health now shows the top CPU and memory processes at a glance. Click any of them — or the new Activity Monitor button — to open Activity Monitor for the full picture.

v1.1.37
build 175July 17, 20265.0 MB
  • Reliability improvements to sleep and keep-awake handling.
  • Closed-lid mode now reports honestly when it can't turn off, and safety releases stick instead of being re-armed.
  • When your work is done, LidRun now just releases the hold by default (asking the Mac to sleep is opt-in).
v1.1.36
build 174July 17, 20265.0 MB
  • Fixed some labels in the activity log that stayed in the previous language after switching languages.
  • Smoother handling when resuming a keep-awake session, plus general reliability improvements.
v1.1.35
build 172July 16, 20265.0 MB
  • LidRun 1.1.35 makes fan control safer and easier to verify across supported M1–M5 Macs.
  • Pro+ keeps unlimited fan control; Free and Pro include 10 free fan boosts.
  • Off, Automatic, and Max now survive an app restart without charging the same boost twice.
  • The privileged helper updates automatically without asking existing users to re-enable it.
  • Multi-fan writes are transactional: any partial failure rolls every fan back to Apple Automatic mode.
  • Restore now retries safely and verifies fan mode plus Ftst before releasing its safety lease.
  • Fan probes and RPM results are logged anonymously when telemetry is enabled, so unsupported firmware is reported honestly instead of guessed.
  • Keep Awake Stop remains independent from Cooling.
  • MacBook Air models without a physical fan remain monitor-only. Apple firmware may also keep fans stopped while a Mac is cool.
v1.1.34
build 170July 16, 20264.8 MB
  • - Fan control can now recover from stale capability checks, and Try Again performs a fresh probe.
  • - Stop keeps Keep Awake off while the same Smart Rule or scheduled agent trigger remains active, without changing Cooling.
  • - Keep Awake modes and Cooling choices are restored after relaunch.
  • - Improved helper reconnection and fan diagnostics for harder-to-control Macs.
v1.1.33

  • Reliability improvements and small fixes.
v1.1.31
build 163July 10, 20264.7 MB
  • Now available in more languages.
  • The weekly report is now free for everyone.
  • Keep Awake stays awake as expected, plus reliability improvements.
v1.1.30
build 158July 9, 20264.3 MB
  • Now in 6 more languages — German, French, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Thai, and Simplified Chinese (10 total, alongside English, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Korean).
  • Smart Cooling free trial: clearer, friendlier prompts when you try fan control, so nothing’s a surprise.
  • Polished purchase buttons and small reliability fixes.
v1.1.29
build 156July 9, 20263.9 MB
  • Quieter by default — "away from desk" notifications are now opt-in, and the welcome-back recap only appears after you've genuinely been away a while, so flipping the lid no longer re-greets you every time.
  • Smart Cooling — on supported Macs, give the fans a boost when your Mac runs hot, then let them ease back down on their own.
  • A refreshed weekly report with a cleaner, shareable card.
  • Simpler low-battery safety — one always-on auto-sleep that protects your work, plus a single clear low-battery warning.
  • Clearer Settings, Smart Rules, Notifications and report screens with new section icons.
  • Reliability fixes under the hood.
v1.1.28

v1.1.20
build 141July 7, 20263.9 MB
  • Reliability and polish.
  • Desktop Macs (Mac mini, Studio, iMac) now show a clear note where Closed-Lid mode doesn't apply — there's no lid to close.
  • Faster, more reliable license refresh so plan changes are picked up on the next check.
  • Various under-the-hood fixes and refinements.
v1.1.19
build 140July 6, 20263.8 MB
  • Calmer, clearer notifications — and a reliability fix for Keep Awake.
  • Fixed: closing the lid could stop Keep Awake even when it was meant to stay on. It now holds reliably.
  • Fewer repeat low-battery alerts — no more a string of "plug in" banners on a single discharge.
  • Every alert now carries a clear icon, and notifications always match your app's language.
  • Faster low-battery safety right after your Mac wakes.
  • Helper: check for updates and reconnect without having to approve it again.
  • Assorted reliability fixes under the hood.
v1.1.17
build 138July 6, 20263.8 MB
  • Away notifications. Close the lid with work still running and LidRun sends a clear plan to your phone (and Telegram, if set up): what's running, battery, temperature, and exactly what it will do — then a short recap when you open the lid again. One message per moment, never a stream. Turn it on or off in Settings → Notifications.
  • Smarter lid detection. LidRun skips the desk-clamshell case (an external display connected) so you're not pinged when you're sitting right there.
  • Honest battery wording in the away plan, plus reliability polish under the hood.
v1.1.16
build 137July 4, 20263.8 MB
  • More reliable emergency sleep at critical battery — it now works even on Macs that never approved the background helper, with no permission prompt.
  • FixReliability and telemetry improvements under the hood.
v1.1.15
build 136July 4, 20263.8 MB
  • NewSleep Now in Awake Radar — one click puts your Mac to sleep instantly, overriding anything keeping it awake. Other apps are only paused, never quit, so nothing is lost — and a clear popup confirms first.
  • Far fewer notifications — each Watchdog warning is now sent at most once a day (with a repeat count), instead of repeating every few minutes.
  • "All tasks finished" now reaches Telegram / Discord / Slack too, not just your phone.
  • Network alerts arrive when you're back online (with how long you were offline), and every alert retries once so it isn't lost on a flaky connection.
  • FixAn idle helper app is no longer mistaken for a stuck agent.
  • FixLighter and quieter when idle, plus assorted fixes and polish.
v1.1.14
build 135July 3, 20263.8 MB
  • CPU temperature now reads correctly on newer Apple Silicon Macs.
  • FixMinor reliability fixes.
