Acceptable use policy

LidRun keeps your Mac working with the lid closed. Using it responsibly keeps you, the people around you, and your hardware safe. By using LidRun you agree not to do the following.

  • Do not use LidRun in any way that could harm a machine, a person, or property.
  • Do not use LidRun to bypass a corporate, school, or other policy that governs the Mac you are using. Get permission first.
  • Do not run LidRun in dangerous environments, near flammable materials, or anywhere a hot or unattended Mac could cause harm.
  • Do not run with the Mac in a sealed bag, a closed backpack, or any space without airflow. A Mac running with the lid closed still needs ventilation.
  • You are responsible for ensuring proper airflow, power, and physical safety whenever LidRun is keeping the Mac awake.
  • Do not resell, crack, reverse-engineer, or redistribute LidRun or your license key.
  • Do not abuse the account or license portal, including sharing one license across more Macs than your plan allows or attempting to game activation limits.

Serious or repeated violations may result in your license being deactivated. If you are unsure whether your use is acceptable, ask us first.
