v1.2.31Última
build 25623 de octubre de 20266.1 MB
  • Fixed: Agent Continuity's running time could show "0m" for a long-running agent session after LidRun restarted or your Mac woke up, even though the agent never stopped. It now tracks the real time the agent has been running.

v1.2.30
build 25511 de octubre de 20266.1 MB
  • - Auto Mode now shows which AI agent is running (Claude Code, Codex, and more) instead of a generic process name
  • - Auto Mode detects agents running through a terminal more reliably, right from the start
  • - Closed-Lid: optional setting to tolerate a bit more heat before sleeping
  • - Reliability fixes
v1.2.27
build 25210 de octubre de 20266.1 MB
  • Fixes: the helper-approval notice no longer sits flush against the panel; Auto Mode now recognises more AI coding agents installed via npm (including ones run inside terminal apps like MXterm) instead of showing them only as "node".
v1.2.25
build 24927 de septiembre de 20266.1 MB
  • Closed-Lid safety sheet: new "Don't ask me again" checkbox — it still checks in if your Mac is running hot
v1.2.24
build 24822 de septiembre de 20266.1 MB
  • "Install and Relaunch" now works while LidRun is running (no more dead button)
v1.2.23
build 24722 de septiembre de 20266.1 MB
  • - New DMG installer look, with clearer install steps.
  • - Fixed a menu bug that could show an incorrect upgrade prompt.
  • - Helper-approval reminder is easier to read.
v1.2.22
build 24621 de septiembre de 20266.2 MB
  • - "Update Now" installs right away, even when the update was already downloaded in the background.
  • - The tab bar in Settings no longer flickers.
v1.2.21
build 24420 de septiembre de 20266.2 MB
  • - System Health updates every second while the panel is open, and now shows GPU load.
  • - Memory usage now matches Activity Monitor.
  • - Everything an AI agent does through the lidrun command (sleep, notify, wrapped runs) is written to the Activity log, with the agent's name.
  • - lidrun watch refuses patterns that would match too many processes; notifications are capped at 5 per 10 minutes.
v1.2.20
build 24118 de septiembre de 20266.1 MB
  • Fixes a false "Mac is critically hot" alert. A brief macOS thermal blip could stop keep-awake and send an alarm while the Mac was actually cool - LidRun now waits for the signal to hold before acting, and checks the real temperature before alarming you.
v1.2.19
build 24018 de septiembre de 20266.1 MB
  • Your AI coding agent can now drive LidRun from the terminal - check status, keep the Mac awake, and let it sleep once a long job finishes. Set it up from the LidRun menu.
  • Safety: hardened the emergency sleep that runs when a Mac gets too hot.
  • Auto Mode no longer keeps the Mac awake during a background maintenance wake with the lid shut.
v1.2.18
build 23315 de septiembre de 20266.1 MB
  • Fixes and reliability improvements.
v1.2.17
build 23214 de septiembre de 20266.1 MB
  • Fixes and reliability improvements.
v1.2.16
build 23114 de septiembre de 20265.6 MB
  • Fixes and reliability improvements.
v1.2.15
build 23013 de septiembre de 20265.6 MB
  • Fixes and reliability improvements.
v1.2.14
build 22913 de septiembre de 20265.6 MB
  • Fixes and reliability improvements.
v1.2.13
build 22813 de septiembre de 20265.6 MB
  • Fixes and reliability improvements.
v1.2.12
build 22713 de septiembre de 20265.6 MB
  • Fixes and reliability improvements. Auto-Watch spots more AI coding tools.
v1.2.11
build 22627 de agosto de 20265.6 MB
  • Bug fixes.
  • - Auto Mode now watches MiniMax Code and ZCode out of the box, alongside Cursor and Windsurf.
  • - Fixed a token-meter app being mistaken for a coding agent.
v1.2.10
build 22527 de agosto de 20265.6 MB
  • Bug fixes.
  • - Auto Mode now reliably detects Claude Code and Codex, which some setups could hide from it.
  • - Fixed your Mac sleeping while an AI agent was still working between steps.
  • - Fewer false matches, and a faster startup scan.
v1.2.9
build 22425 de agosto de 20265.5 MB
  • Bug fixes.
  • - Fixed the cooling system falsely reporting "fan didn't turn off" on some newer Mac models when it actually had.
v1.2.8
build 22315 de agosto de 20265.5 MB
  • Bug fixes.
  • - Repairing the background helper now works the same way everywhere, and tells you what happened.
  • - Fixed the System Settings link sometimes not opening.
  • - The menu shows when Caps Lock is set to toggle Closed-Lid.
v1.2.7
build 22212 de agosto de 20265.5 MB
  • Bug fixes.
  • - Fixed a case where Keep Awake could turn itself back on after you stopped it.
  • - Reliability fixes for closed-lid mode.
v1.2.6
build 2216 de agosto de 20265.5 MB
  • Fixes the menu not appearing.
  • If you work across several desktops or full-screen apps, clicking the LidRun icon could open the menu on a different desktop - so nothing appeared where you were, and you had to swipe back to find it. It now opens on the desktop you are actually on.
v1.2.5
build 2206 de agosto de 20265.5 MB
  • Small follow-up to 1.2.4.
  • VS Code is back to being off by default in Auto Mode - turn it on in Settings → Automation if you run Claude, Codex or Copilot inside the editor. It now sits third in the list so it is easy to find.
  • Tool names in that list read as names again: Claude, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode, LM Studio.
v1.2.4
build 2196 de agosto de 20265.5 MB
  • Fixes for two problems reported by users.
  • Auto Mode now sees AI assistants running inside VS Code. Claude, Codex, Copilot and the rest run as extensions, which have no process of their own - so LidRun could not tell they were working and reported "waiting for AI tasks". VS Code is watched by default now; you can turn it off in Settings → Automation.
  • The menu opens over full-screen apps again. It was opening on a different desktop Space, so clicking the icon appeared to do nothing.
  • Also: the "add a program" field is easier to see, the menu bar icon keeps its place and comes back if it gets dragged off, and one repeated notification was fixed.
v1.2.3
build 2184 de agosto de 20265.5 MB
  • Improvements and bug fixes.
  • Fewer repeated alerts: the low-battery warning no longer fires again and again at the same level, and the "another app is keeping your Mac awake" notice now respects its cooldown and stops naming macOS background processes you can't quit.
  • Caps Lock as the Closed-Lid switch responds much faster, and no longer leaves the key lit or typing in capitals - while the option is on, Caps Lock switches Closed-Lid instead of typing capitals, including on an external keyboard.
v1.2.2
build 2174 de agosto de 20265.5 MB
  • Bug fixes.
  • Fewer notifications: the "an agent may be waiting for you" alert now only arrives when you're actually away from the Mac, and comes as one message instead of one per app.
  • Turning on Closed-Lid no longer shows a banner every single time.
  • ⌥L and the Caps Lock key now keep the Closed-Lid mode you chose, instead of switching it back.
  • When a Timer is running too, the Closed-Lid row shows when the session really ends.
  • Translations for the newer screens, which were still showing in English.
  • More accurate memory figures in Top Processes, plus small spacing and colour tidy-ups in the menu.
v1.2.1
build 2164 de agosto de 20265.4 MB
  • Fixes for the new menu bar.
  • Clicking the LidRun icon now opens the menu reliably, the moment you press - a normal, slightly hurried click no longer gets ignored.
  • Clicking the icon while the menu is open closes it, and opening the menu after using another menu-bar app no longer takes two clicks.
  • Hovering the small readings at the top (battery, temperature, CPU, fan) tells you what each one is, straight away instead of after a long pause.
  • Tidier menu edge, shorter timer labels, and the Cooling icon now matches the mode you have selected.
v1.2.0
build 2154 de agosto de 20265.4 MB
  • New menu bar, redesigned and easier to read. It now follows your Mac's Light/Dark appearance (Settings → Appearance: Light, Dark or Auto), and Timer, Cooling, Closed-Lid and Tasks & Reports open as proper pop-up menus instead of stretching the panel.
  • Closed-Lid without opening a menu. Press ⌥L anywhere to turn it on or off, and - if you want it - the Caps Lock key can do the same. Both are optional and off unless you turn them on. Caps Lock needs no extra permission.
  • The Closed-Lid mode you picked is now shown, and you can change it while a session is running.
  • A warning before LidRun puts your Mac to sleep for safety, with the reason and the readings behind it, so you know why it happened even if you weren't at the Mac.
  • Keyboard shortcuts are back in the menu, plus a few new ones.
  • Fixes: the menu panel could open behind another app or not appear at all; pop-ups didn't work over a full-screen app; some windows opened underneath the panel.
v1.1.67
build 2141 de agosto de 20265.2 MB
  • Bug fixes and improved safety warnings.
v1.1.66
build 21330 de julio de 20265.2 MB
  • Bug fixes and improved safety warnings.
v1.1.65
build 21130 de julio de 20265.2 MB
  • Bug fixes and improved safety warnings.
v1.1.64
build 21029 de julio de 20265.2 MB
  • Bug fixes and improved safety warnings.
v1.1.62
build 20827 de julio de 20265.2 MB
  • Fixes and small improvements.
v1.1.61
build 20727 de julio de 20265.2 MB
  • Clearer panels in the Closed-Lid window, so each section is easier to read at a glance.
  • Better diagnostics when a Mac runs hot with the lid closed, so heat issues are quicker to understand and fix.
v1.1.60
build 20627 de julio de 20265.2 MB
  • Fixes "Install and Relaunch" appearing to do nothing. LidRun waits for a safe moment before installing updates by itself, but it was also waiting when you asked for the update - so the button sat there while a background job kept it blocked. Asking for an update now installs it right away.
  • Update failures are also recorded now, so a download error can actually be diagnosed instead of guessed at.
v1.1.59
build 20526 de julio de 20265.2 MB
  • Turning the fans off now sticks. A Smart Rule like "Claude Code → AI cooling" used to switch cooling back to Automatic every few minutes, so a fan mode you picked because it was too loud kept coming back.
  • Rules now only turn cooling on when you haven't chosen a mode yourself. The one exception is the safety rule above 90°C, which still maxes the fans no matter what.
v1.1.58
build 20426 de julio de 20265.2 MB
  • Fixes a Mac being put to sleep, and shown as overheating, while it was actually cool. On Intel Macs the CPU speed limit also drops when the power adapter can't keep up with a heavy build - LidRun read that as overheating and ended Closed-Lid sessions at 62°C.
  • Capped clocks now only count as heat when the Mac is genuinely warm. The exact CPU limit is still shown, it just no longer reads as danger.
v1.1.57
build 20326 de julio de 20265.2 MB
  • System Health now also catches a single runaway process, not just a group of them - the kind that quietly holds one CPU core for hours and makes your Mac throttle.
  • It tells them apart from real work by how a process has behaved its whole life, so a busy AI job is never mistaken for one.
v1.1.56
build 20226 de julio de 20265.2 MB
  • Closed-Lid now comes back on by itself after an update installs, so a lid-shut Mac never quietly starts sleeping again mid-job.
  • You can also turn automatic installs off in Settings if you'd rather update by hand.
v1.1.55
build 20125 de julio de 20265.2 MB
  • System Health now spots leftover runaway processes - ones whose parent is gone but that keep burning CPU - and lets you end them in one click.
  • LidRun also keeps itself up to date on its own now. It never installs while Closed-Lid or a job is running; it waits until your session ends.
v1.1.54
build 20024 de julio de 20265.1 MB
  • System Health now shows the top CPU and memory processes at a glance. Click any of them - or the new Activity Monitor button - to open Activity Monitor for the full picture.
v1.1.53
build 19924 de julio de 20265.1 MB
  • More accurate temperature readings, plus general reliability improvements.
